I'm looking for a new fitness monitor - my SO has basically adopted my old fit bit, but because I'd kind of let my fitness regime lapse (don't judge - had a few health issues to deal with), it hasn't really bothered me up until now.
I've started doing some basic cardio and weights, and I want to start tracking again. I've read what feels like a million reviews, and all I've got is a headache and a feeling that I'm going to be paying out a lot of money for something that's going to end up in a drawer in the kicthen.
Anyone here have any recommendations?
I love Spartan by Suunto. It's accurate, has all the features I need most, and it's just a great watch. The GPS and HR monitor work perfectly, and it syncs with the apps I use. Bonus? You also get regular SW features like being able to get notifications.
Sleep monitoring is important to me, as I've identified lack of sleep and stress as a major barrier to my health, so I've also got a Spartan. Another big bonus is that it's comfortable to wear (try sleeping in a huge hunk of plastic that digs into your wrist!)
I've never used Sunto, but I've heard nothing but good things about them. In fact, it's probably going to be my nexy fitness tracker.
I'm using a Garmin right now, which I've had no issues with whatsoever - I'd highly recommend them in fact.
I think it depends on what you want out of a tracker - you don't HAVE to break the bank if all you want is heart rate, pedometer etc. If you want something all singing, all dancing then you'll obviously pay more - if you're just doing basic cario and weights though, is there any point? I'd say probably not myself, but I get why people like fancy gadgets!
