Vibration Plates - Do They Work?

Hiya. A gym near me is doing a special offer on a course of vibtration plates - the only problem is that you have to pay up front for a course of 10 treatments to be taken over 30 days.
Before I hand over a wedge of cash, I'd be interested to hear if anyone has had any success with vibration plates?
I've personally never used them. I do work with someone who swears by them, and I can say with certainty that she's lost weight. I have no idea what else she's doing though - for all I know she could be running half marathons every weekend.
I did them for about 18 months, and I honestly think that they work. I did lose weight, but more than that, I looked and felt more toned. Apparantly, they also reduce fat around your internal organs which is obviously really good.
I had to stop because as you've said, they're not cheap. It might be psychological, but I've definitely lost some muscle tone since I quit.
I tried them but they made my sciatica flare up, so I didn't have a long enough run with them to really notice any difference. :(
I've GOT to jump in on this. My SIL has been using them for a month and a half and has lost over a stone and 14 inches in total! I will be trying them out very shortly myself, because they've worked insanely well for her!
Are you serious? That's a hell of a lot of weight and inches in just over a month! :o
It really is. What else is she doing, Jen?
She's watching what she eats, but other than that nothing out of the ordinary. She looks amazing, I can't believe how much more toned she looks.
Hmmm. I have a really hard time believing this Jenna. Are you SURE she's not doing other things? Exercise classes or something? Surely if just standing on a plate meant that you could lose that much weight nobody would ever have a gastric band ever again?
I know what you mean TG, but other than dieting I can't see that she has much time to do anything else. She has a couple of health problems, so it's not like she's exercising a lot or anything.
That's incredible then. Jeez, might have to have a go myself lol
I did them for a month (probably the same deal lol). I didn't lose any weight but I did drop a dress size, so I can testify to the benefits. Same as other people though, they're expensive to do long term.
NGL, I'm thinking of mortgaging the house if they're as effective as people are saying haha!
One of the girls that I work with says that she's lost 6lbs and dropped a dress size in a month using VP's. Before anyone asks, she says that she's not doing anything else, but I find that kind of hard to believe myself.
