Could someone tell me a little more about this? I keep seeing it mentioned, but I'm not sure what it's all about.
In a nutshell, it means that you only eat whole and unprocessed foods.
It's like anything else - great if you're sensible, but if you take it to extremes it's not going to be good for you.
I did think about that, but all of the ones that I've seen are linked to a clothing store and I feel like there would be a hard sell of their clothes, IYKWIM?
Huh? How can eating whole and unprocessed foods ever be bad for you?
In principle, it's great and I'd encourage you to try it. Some people get obsessed though, and end up with a dangerously restrictive diet. And get sick. That simple really.
Didn't some blogger turn orange from clean eating?
No, she turned orange because the only carbs she allowed herself was carrots and sweet potatoes. That's not clean eating, it's an eating disorder.
Her hair fell out in handfuls as well. I think she went by 'The Blonde Vegan'. She needed therapy in the end, so it was a proper eating disorder.
That's dreadful, poor lady. :(
She got loads of hate for quitting 'clean eating' too. Literal hate mail. People are crazy.
