Hello, everyone. I'm practically jumping in joy right now. Confused? Ok, let me give you a pretext.
I just got off the weighing scale. I'm sure you would have got it by now.
Yes! I just checked my weight and I have successfully lost 20 pounds in a month. I'm on cloud nine at the moment. Ok, now I don't want to be selfish and keep the secret of my success all to myself, but you have to show me your curiosity to find out how I did it. So go ahead, prove to me that you need my help, and maybe I will share my story.
Oh my gosh! Lizzie, you are freaking me out here. I have desperately tried to reduce my weight many times, but the best I could do was 10 pounds in a month (my personal best). How the hell did you lose 20 pounds in a month? Did you deprive yourself of food? Did you jog for like the entire month? How Lizzie How?
Hey Karen, don't get so tensed up and excited at the same time. My gut feeling says crazylizzie here is actually crazy. She's just cooking up some story for the heck of it. Either she is bluffing, or her body has an excellent metabolic rate to cut down fat like vegetables. My bet is on the bluff. Hey Lizzie, send us a pic of before and after as proof. That should get her to keep mum.
Hey Sara, what's with the discordant reaction? Why should I be bluffing? And I'm not proving anything here. If you feel the need, hear me out, or else mind your own business. Karen seems to be interested, let her decide for herself. Stay out of this Sara.
Easy girls. Let's not convert this forum into an arena for a cat fight. Sara, I think we should hear her out before coming to any irrational decision. I'm sure we can only pick up something good from her story. And like Lizzie said, if you don't believe it, ignore it. That's the best you can do in this situation. So go on Lizzie, tell us how did you manage to lose 20 pounds in a month (Gosh! I get goosebumps every time I say 20 pounds and a month in one sentence).
Don't bother about Sara, I believe you, Lizzie. I really wanna know how you achieved this task. I have been trying everything in the books, but my weight is kind off in love with me and refuses to leave me, like ever! Please share your experience and hopefully, I too may be able to get rid of this excess weight.
Ok girls, I think I've kept you hanging long enough, and before another Sara tries to turn you against me, here is how I achieved this feat. I lost 20 pounds in a month thanks to a smart diet that I followed.
Now let me tell you, I have been on a diet since the past three months and in the first two months, I lost 20 pounds in total. It was only until the last month that I researched online and found out that you don't need to diet hard, you just need to diet smart. Let me elaborate.
For e.g., instead of completely avoiding junk food, I allocated a day, that I called as the "Cheat Day" where I splurged on all goodies. This day was a Sunday for me. I would diet the entire week and on a Sunday, I would let my urges get the better of me. That way, my body had developed a certain pattern and it was easier to burn off the excess fat that I ate on Sunday (mind you, my Monday exercise routine was double as compared to the usual days).
Having said that, I did not develop any cravings for the entire week and even if I did, I could fulfill it on a Sunday, thereby not disturbing my diet in the middle of the week.
Secondly, I divided one meal into two meals of small proportions with a gap of 2 hours in between them, rather than a 4-hour gap between major meals of the day. This is something you must try.
What I noticed was, with me eating every two hours, the hunger pangs between meals reduced drastically to a point that they ceased to exist. And my body was getting the same amount of nutrition it needed to keep me going.
Girls, I know this may sound crazy, but trust me on this and give it a try. I cannot guarantee that you will lose the same amount of weight that I did, but you will definitely feel a lot lighter and better during the day. I am not asking you to change any diet, just guiding you on how to follow one. Let me know if I have helped you in any way.
Thanks a lot Lizzie for this wonderful advice. It seems tempting enough to give it a try. Heck, what do I have to lose in this? I'm in fact gaining a "Cheat Day" for myself;). I shall try it out in the coming weeks and update you on my weight loss.
One question that I have here is what Sara pointed out. Now I agree she was rude which did not convey the message across in the right manner, but don't you think a person's metabolism has a big role to play here. I mean, your body's metabolism may be really good because of which you have lost so many pounds, however, my metabolism is not that active. Please advise.
Yes Karen, a body's metabolism is important and probably my body's metabolic rate is much faster than yours, however, there are ways to increase your metabolism. One very good way is to exercise regularly and follow high-intensity workouts, that should speed up food to energy conversion in no time. You can source the other ways online. Hope that answers your question.
Thanks a lot, Lizzie and Hillary. I shall get back to you'll in a week and let you know if your method is indeed as fruitful as it sounds.
Thank you so much lizzie. I shall try out this new meal routine. Looking forward to the cheat day;)
