Well, there is quite a bit of them. I would advise against any fat burners - which are complexes containing a lot of different substances with only a few that have any impact at all. What you should look for are supplements that contain: hydroxycitrate, acai berries, glucomannan, vitamin B-12 and green tea extract.

You won't find them all combined into one supplement, so you will have to look for many different supplements. Just take them as prescribed on the label.

Additionally, it may be worth to consider also: L-carnitine, L-glutamine, ashwagandha, D3 vitamin and maybe some multivitamins.

They will help your body with regeneration in many different areas - and this is exactly what you need right now.

Well, you are a bit overweight, that's true. You can't really be surprised with gaining weight so fast, you literally went out from starving mode to eating like a normal person - for your body it's like eating too much and as it was in starving mode for so long, it basically stores every food you give to him as fat, because its afraid of having insufficient amount again.

It's an natural reaction - your body automatically protects the resources, that are needed for it to function.

You have no impact on that, you can only wait and keep eating. It will balance itself out. Obviously it all has to do with hormones level - but I tried to picture it as simple as possible.

I would say, if you are on low carb diet - keep adding calories until like 2300 - 2500 kcal. I know it's a lot and probably too much for you, but from now on you have to behave like you wanted to gain weight, not lose it. Your body needs to feel relaxed, it can't bother with any more stress at the moment.

It will take you some time and you will gain some weight, but once you stop feeling full on 2500 kcal, you will be ready for starting your loss weight diet again.

A lot of that depends on your current weight, which you didn't even tell us yet...

Yes, most definitely something was wrong at the beginning already. So, what about this low carb diet, will you be ready to take the challenge?

It's the least destructive way of speeding your metabolism up in this case - definitely a much better idea than your plan of eating junk of everyday.

Also you are cutting your activity too fast in my opinion, you may find yourself gaining much more weight than you have supposed.

Obviously your hormones level will be a mess right now, so don't worry about it, but you should definitely consider looking into those medical conditions, that annbee has mentioned - they are not that uncommon as you may think and if you have started your diet from 1500 kcal, then there could have been something seriously wrong at the very beginning.

This is a very tricky situation. You went totally extreme in this case and it doesn't really surprise me, that you have started to gain weight on such low calories! It's called overtraining - you have devastated your hormones level and it will take some time for your body to recover from this.

I can give one solution, that will definitely help you lower your weight increasement, although it probably won't help you very much with your mental comfort, but if you want to limit the effort, that you have to put in later, it's the best thing that I can think of.

Start low carb diet. Seriously, eat between 30 to 50 grams of carbs and supply the rest from fat and proteins. Allow yourself only 1 cheat day after workout.

You will find the topic dedicated to this diet here on our forums. Gaining fat on this diet is extremely hard, even in your case when your hormones are a total mess, you should easily add calories and cut activity without gaining too much fat.

As I have see you have already started to consume a lot of carbs and have significantly cut your activities, you should follow your current approach for a few more days and when you feel ready, you can try your soon to be favorite low carb diet :)

I partially agree and disagree with you Panemoniac. Steroids may lead to feeling better, getting your body stronger, leaner and more agile without any extraordinary risks. Of course, all of this can be achieved without them as well and I would only recommend them for people that know what they are doing, but I wouldn't rule out their use for casual lifters as well. You don't have to be a pro to take them, the only difference is the dose - pros are just using really a lot of them, while an average "girl" from gym will be happy with lower doses to slightly improve her performance. Thing is that not many people think this way.

They are all mostly 100% or nothing and this attitude is very misleading. We can compare it to alcohol. Nothing bad will really happen for an adult woman that will drink two beers at a party, right? But what if this person drinks 8 beers? She will most likely vomit, feel nauseous and so on. Same thing with steroids, using a dose that will increase your testosterone level by 200% won't do much harm to you and you will have a little of your desired effect. Increasing its level by 800% can give some nasty side effects, but also much stronger short-term effect. I'm just asking to look from a wider perspective at things like this, please. Not everything is black or white.

Well, I kind of disagree with most of you here.

Just like Katyaa and MomLovesIron said, steroids are a tool. You are free to use this tool if you want and even as it's mostly associated with men, women can use steroids as well. They just have to use lower doses and don't run exact cycles copied men. It requires a little bit knowledge or somebody to guide you, but you can improve and it doesn't exactly mean that you will grow a moustache, get bigger arm than your boyfriend and other myths that some people are saying.

Like someone here in this discussion said already, woman's body won't grow as much as man's body, but they can still turn to be really helpful, it greatly depends on your goal. I'm not pro-steroids use, but I'm not against it either. I haven't been on a cycle myself, because I never needed it but I know some women that were attending Bikini Fitness events that did and they did quite a lot of them. Now you should ask yourself, do they really look not feminine? Are they too big?

They are not and they have used plenty of them. So if you feel like using them, you can go for it, although it will require a different approach than with men.

Hey, don't worry about occasional lack of progress - it happens all the time to everyone. As others have stated you have to feel your body and keep making changes until you find this one good method or preferably a few, which suits you best. As for diet, it will be a turning point for you. If you want to keep moving forward, sooner or later you will have to start keeping your diet in check and just sticking to macros and healthy eating won't do. You will have to try the approach that CatLady has mentioned - gaining weight and then losing it and I'm afraid to say, that in your case it will happen sooner than later, but hey, losing weight is definitely not that bad - all you have to think of those three months when you will be eating a lot! Works for me so far, although I never had any trouble with eating less and doing a lot of cardio :D

Hello, could you post what diet are you on at the moment? You must have done something wrong.. Remember that the most important thing during diet loss is counting your calories accordingly! You need to consume less than your body actually needs. There is also an possibility that you haven't been eating properly prior to your diet - for example you were eating even less than you do now at your diet, you managed to immensely slow down your metabolism due to bad eating habits or you could have been dehydrated and now once you started eating properly and drinking enough water you have gained more weight. It happened to me once, when I started to drink a lot of water and after a few days I was a pound heavier...

Also, I would recommend to measure your waist, shoulder and legs circumference. You can't rely only on your scale - they tend to fail pretty often.
